Programs for Graduate Students, Undergraduates, and Pre-College Students

A cornerstone of the COINS mission is to enrich and expand educational opportunities in Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NSE) for students at all levels, from K–12 through undergraduate and graduate studies. We support an array of programs that aim to:

• Increase participation of under-represented groups in Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NSE) fields
• Create educational opportunities in NSE and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields
• Prepare a diverse student population for the NSE workforce
• Develop partnerships with industry to advance the NSE enterprise
• Excite interest in nanoscale science and promote a deeper understanding of our research among all citizens
